There are no saints read online1/18/2024 The other panel members turn to look at me, to see if I’ll comply. “Excuse me!” she pants, her cheeks flaming pink. We’re about to enter the junior studio on the opposite side of the building when Mara catches up with me. Pre-order the stunning conclusion There is No Devil! **Thank you to Social Butterfly pr and the author for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review** Overall this was a lot more entertaining, intense and interesting and kinkier than what I expected but oh dear did I enjoyed it! There is something else going on and that thought makes me want to read the next book asap. The plot was interesting and intense and very entertaining read but I had to say I’d have loved to read a chapter from Alastor pov. She is strong and decisive and resilient and life gave her all the freaking lemons but our girl had found a way to still remain sweet and caring but also a badass!Įverytime Cole wants to rule her, she was like nope… I’ll do it in my way and ugh it was so good. With Mara happened the opposite, I absolutely ADORED her from the very beginning. I never fully liked him but I understood him. He was classist egocentric elitist and even sexist but then you remembered he’s also a sociopath and a psychopath that he has different range of emotions (aka has none) and by the end you understand his actions. For example with Cole, I hated him from the start. With our main characters I had very different thoughts. I have to say, when I read the blurb of this one, I knew it was going to be very different from what I’ve read from Sophie before but nothing would have prepared me for how different. This was dark, twisted and very kinky so if you have read SL before or even if you haven’t, I’d said proceed with caution because this one is very dark and at times very disturbing. But she has no idea she’s dancing with the devil… I don’t know if I should protect her at all costs… or destroy her before she ruins me. She makes me feel things I never thought I could feel. I’m fixated on her for a different reason… Shaw wants to use her as a pawn in his twisted game. Until the night we both laid eyes on Mara Eldritch. In truth, we’re predators battling for hunting ground. I recommend this to those who like darker romances that are a bit unconventional. The city of San Francisco thinks we’re rival artists. TOTALLY WORKED! It’s raw, dark, twisted, and shockingly hot!!! I’m so excited to see what happens in the next one. In fact, I felt like it was totally believable! A killer falling for his enemies victim? YES PLEASE. Normally books like this have a tendency to feel forced but I didn’t get those feelings when reading this one. Guess we’ll have to wait and see □.įor what this book is, a serial killer romance with a dark and twisted story that will give everyone the chills (Shaw scares the CRAP out of me), the author did a wonderful job making it feel believable. While not aplenty in this one I have a feeling things in the bedroom might get even more intense in the next book. How about a book where the heroine is □□□□□□ and gives the antihero a run for his money? That’s Mara! And don’t forget the raw and dirty sex scenes that will make any reader blush. What a book where the “hero” (more like antihero) is somewhat of a □□□□□□□? That pretty much describes Cole. This one packs quite the punch and readers will be seeing a lot of dark and twisted things during their reading. Sophie Lark is a new to me author and I’m not only anxiously awaiting the final book in this duet (it releases on December 1st) but I’m looking forward to reading more of her books based solely on this one. □□□□□□ □□□□□□□□: Sophie Lark pens a twisted tale in this serial killer romance! I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did but I think I’m sold on the trope now.
